“Willie was a unique person. His carpentry skills were creative and his artistic, he had a way of giving a special "twist" to each project. He never lost his New Zealand accent, and I remember his frequent response to a project "we can do that!" We all know to well "waiting on Willie" was part of who he was. Willie had his own time clock, breaking the boat building challenge record, which still remains today, as will his memory, and whenever "the saw dust flies" so will you. Jim Clark”
