We are sad to announce that on August 1, 2025, at the age of 78, William Gary Coleman Jr. of Georgetown, South Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Gary and Eloise McLellan Coleman. He is survived by: his wife Brenda Holt Coleman; his children, Leigh Dodd (Paul), Bryan Coleman of Florence, Samantha Barrineau and Holly Lee (Anthony) of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Wyatt Dodd, Connor, Sullivan Coleman of Florence, Ellen Walker (David) of Scotland, Thomas Fogel, Luke Koneval and Hampton Lee of Georgetown; his sisters, Judy Rogers (Billy) and Bonnie Jo Putnam (Rick); and his siblings-in-law, Ruby Fleming and Jimmy Holt (Adrie).
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Herbert Memorial United Methodist Church (84 Forest Ave, Georgetown, SC 29440). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, August 7th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers and memorials, the family request that anyone willing to do so, plant a tree in honor of Bill's legacy and love for forestry.
