He was predeceased by : his parents, Alford Wesley Wilson and Mildred Irene Gamble Wilson; his children, William Wesley Wilson, Jr. and Shannon Michelle Wilson; his grandson Raymond McKinley Gause, Jr.; his great grandchildren, Elijah Ray Sanders, Jr. and Axel Cade Baggett; and his siblings-in-law, Barbara Wilson and Roy Jones.

He is survived by : his wife Nancy H. Wilson; his siblings, Stanley Wilson and Bonnie Jones; his children, Susie Poston, Sylvia Coker and Raymond Gause; his extended family, Ray Hammond (Linda), Jim "Tiny Boy" Hammond (Wanda), Nina Ray, David Weavil, Donald Weavil and Daniel Brumley; and his pet Little Bit. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
