He was predeceased by: his parents, Lee Umbarger and Irma Matthews Umbarger; his brothers, Ricky Umbarger and Andy Umbarger; and his brother-in-law Oscar Gentry.
He is survived by: his wife Pat; his children, Becky Smith (Jeff), April Umbarger, Christy Johnson (Ashley), Weston Umbarger (Ashley) and Trevor Umbarger (Haleigh Outlaw); his grandchildren, Brooke Smith (Harry), Emily Smith, Kayla Johnson, Macie Johnson and Lexcie Umbarger; his great grandchildren, Korie Umbarger, Charlee Umbarger, Jacklyn Umbarger and Gracelynn Prater; his siblings, Johnny Umbarger (Hilda), George Umbarger (Miriam), Dean Umbarger (Carolyn), Dawn Shealy (Evie), Mary Gantt (John) and Debra Gentry; and his sister-in-law Pauline Umbarger. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Oak Grove Baptist Church (533 Hayride Rd, Gilbert, SC 29054). A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
