She was predeceased by: her parents, Jason Waters and Letha Lorene Black Waters; her spouse Lyles Wilford Shumpert; her son Duane Shumpert; and her brothers, Dunan Waters and Gerald Waters.
She is survived by: her children, Randy Shumpert (Conni) and Teresa Shumpert Barefoot (Larry); her grandchildren, Adam Shumpert, Ashley Shumpert Jones, Amanda Shumpert Pardee (Brad) and Amber Barefoot; and her siblings, Hance Waters, Jan Waters and Sherrie Waters Crapps. She is also survived by 5 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Boiling Springs Methodist Church (2373 Calks Ferry Rd, Lexington, SC 29073). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at 3:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Sunday, September 6th 2026 at the same location.
