He is survived by: his wife Wanda D Sweatt; his daughters, Rhonda Sweatt (Sharon) and Melinda Sweatman (Trent); his grandchildren, Destiny, Kennedy, A'siah and Kylee; and his sister Brenda Beckham. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Beulah Methodist Church in his memory.
