It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William David Barton of Gilbert, South Carolina, born in Benton Harbor, Michigan, who passed away on April 24, 2026, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Sherree Hensley Barton; his children, Courtney Hensley Barton Ingle (Rob Ingle) and David Grayson Barton (Lori Sandburg Barton); his grandchildren, Gracen Hensley Ingle, Addison Calvin Ingle, Ronan Kinsale Barton, Hurlee William Barton and Cian Bray Barton; his siblings, Bobby Barton and Janet Long; and his siblings-in-law, Michael Mallory, Paul Hensley, Wayne Linguiti, Paula Mallory, Una Hensley and Ann Linguiti. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial contributions be made in David's honor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
