The family announces the passing of Carolyn Dutton of Goose Creek, South Carolina. Carolyn, born on April 30, 1928 in Taunton, Massachusetts, was part of many shared moments and relationships throughout life. Carolyn leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Carolyn’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Carolyn will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She was predeceased by: her siblings, Alan McIntire and Janet McIntire Sears. She is survived by: her children, John M. Dutton, Jr. (Lynne) of Wareham, MA, Jeffrey L. Dutton of Carver, MA and Lynn Cease (Hank) of Goose Creek, SC. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service was held on Friday, September 18th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Agawam Cemetery (87 Great Neck Rd, Wareham, MA 02571).
