Leon Ray Stohler Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Leon Ray Stohler of Goose Creek, South Carolina, born in Ogallala, Nebraska, who passed away on March 15, 2023 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Stohler and Eva Stohler; his siblings, Don Stohler (Doris) and Ruth Borowski (Ed); his sister-in-law Shirley Stohler; and his daughter Myra Banks.
He is survived by: his wife Judith Stohler of Goose Creek; his daughters, Lesley Larson (Kevin), Dana Harrington (Don), Melanie Brown (Jonathan) and Terry Mogle (Glen); his children-in-law, Kelli Garcia (John) and Kenny Banks; his siblings, Roy Stohler, Doris Otterstein (Bill) and Linda Payne (Richard); his sister-in-law Dee Stohler; his caregivers, Zach, Taylor, Michael and Tracy; and also, Melanie, Terri, Dana and Lesley. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren.
Through all the challenges that came with those diagnoses, Leon stuck by Judie's side, sitting with her daily in her memory care apartment, even through the Covid-19 pandemic, when he would sit outside to be with her for hours every day in good and bad weather.
