She was predeceased by : her parents, Frank Mizzell and Lucinder Atkins Mizzell; and her siblings, Morris Mizzell, LeRoy Mizzell and Margaret Dangerfield.

She is survived by : her husband Henry L. Prather, Sr.; her children, Cheryl Prather-Williams (James) of Summerville and H. Lee Prather, Jr. of Summerville; her sister Viola Cumbus of Goose Creek; and her grandchildren, Leigha M. Nuss (Allen), Gregory L. Prather (Sydney) and Haley L. Prather.
