He was predeceased by: his father Howard Leroy Edwards; and his brother Tony Lee Edwards. He is survived by: his spouse David Smith; his mother Virginia Felkel Edwards of Eutawville, SC.; and his brothers, Chris Edwards (Michelle) of Goose Creek and Kevin Edwards (Deanna) of Charleston. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the J. Henry Stuhr Inc., Northwoods Chapel (2180 Greenridge Rd, North Charleston, SC 29406). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
