With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Steve Mason of Goose Creek, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 27, 2026 at the age of 62. As Steve departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Steve. Though Steve may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Shoop and Barbara Beatrice Butler Shoop. He is survived by: his wife Pam; his children, Shannon Large (Dennis) of Moncks Corner and Derek Mason of Goose Creek; his grandchildren, Anniston and Waylon; his siblings, Tony Mason of Hanahan, Donna Farley of Rock Hill and William Shoop, Jr. of Goose Creek; his cousin Ann McGowan (Mike) of Summerville; and his aunt Shirley Rhea (Charleston). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
