She was predeceased by: her parents, Albert Cumbee and Daisy Bell Etheridge Cumbee; her husband Maynard Leslie Slingerland; and her children, Sandy Slingerland and Maynard L. Slingerland.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark Slingerland (Jackie) of Goose Creek and Raymond Slingerland of Goose Creek; her grandchildren, Markanthony Slingerland and Jullian Marie Slingerland (Jonathan Martinez); and her great grandchild Joshua Noel Lorenzo.
