He was predeceased by : his father Carlton Eugene Ashley; his brother Darnell Ashley; and his granddaughter Lisa Bledsoe. He is survived by : his wife Linda Gale LeRoy Ashley; his mother Annie Lou Black Ashley; his children, Dean Ashley (Kimberly), Thad Ashley (Chay), Melissa Gove and Kim Bledsoe; his siblings, Marsha Webb (George), Arlean Ashley, G. W. Ashley (Kay) and Kieth Ashley; his sister-in-law Debra Ashley; his grandchildren, Austin Ashley (Lindsey), Charity Ashley, Patience Ashley, Chase Ashley, Nicholas Gove, Nathaniel Gove, Truett Ashley, Leyton Ashley, Breanna Markel, Chloe Reeves, Joseph Reeves and Trisha Bledsoe; and his great grandchildren, Isaiah Bledsoe, Waylon Ashley and Layne Ashley.
