With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Janis G. Jennings (Graniteville, South Carolina), who passed away on July 5, 2025 at the age of 77. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Janis departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Janis may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Janis leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her mother Beatrice Richardson Wingard; and her sister Paula Saxon. She is survived by: her husband Johnnie Byron "J. B." Jennings; her son Michael J. Jennings; her brother Johnny Argo (Sheryl); her granddaughters, Mindy Leady (Steven) and Wendy Clary (Matthew); and her great grandchildren, Carmen Leady, Landon Leady, Kameron Clary and Addison Clary.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service (3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Graniteville, SC 29829). A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, July 9th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the Hatcher Funeral Home Chapel (3464 Jefferson Davis Hwy, Graniteville, SC 29829).
