He was predeceased by: his wife Betty Ruth Sterling; his sisters, Shirley Ivey and Betty Jean Wilkins; and his parents, J. D. Bath (Evelyn Hill Sterling) and Langley Bath.
He is survived by: his children, John Drew II (Kristie), Jolynn Saverance, Michael Sterling (Amber), Lori Banks and Lisa Justice (Randy); his grandchildren, Ryan Gregory, Lauren Durden (Brett), Haley Justice, Amber Turner (Dylan), Kyle Saverance, Brittany Sterling, Benjamin Drew, Breanna Drew, Laiken Sterling and Jillian Sterling; and his great grandchildren, Malcolm Coady, Saylor Turner and Skylar Turner.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Langley Bible Church, 2551 Augusta Road, Warrenville, SC 29851.
