He is survived by: his wife Joann Thomas Hickman-Gilmer; his children, Jack Gilmer, Andy Gilmer, Valentina Mock (Frank), Dana Gué (Jay), Toni Herndon (Mike) and April Jones (Shane); his sister-in-law Myrtle Gilmer; his grandchildren, Mark Gilmer, Gillian Gilmer, Tyler Mock (Sara), Tristan Mock (Alysia), Jake Gué, Elizabeth Gué, Evan Herndon, Teddi Herndon, Maryjo Jones and Pamela Jones; and his great grandchildren, Emilee Mock, Samuel Mock, Isaac Mock and Ethan Mock. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, treasured friends, and wonderful neighbors.
