She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bunyan and Mary Lou McElveen McWaters; her husband Oscar Junior Hicks; and her son Sam Powers. She is survived by: her sons, Dwayne Powers (Debra) of Chester, SC and Tony McWaters (Denise) of Fayetteville, GA; her stepchildren, Danny Hicks (Kathy) of Davenport, FL, Delores Pittman (Ricky) of Lancaster, SC and Kim Surrett (Wayne) of Elgin, SC; and her sisters, Margaret Brown of Loris, SC and Rachel Crawford of Elgin, SC. She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Greenlawn Cemetery.
