He was predeceased by : his parents, Clarence Baker and Mary Neely Baker; and his siblings, Wonzel Baker, Betty Baker Knight and Menthlee McClain.
He is survived by : his wife Kathie Ann Wright Baker; his children, Betsy Carter Coan (Fred) of Clover, SC, Suzanne Baker (Tracy) of Heath Springs, SC, Roy S. Carter III of Fort Lawn, SC and Melanie Carter Childers (Michael) of Winnsboro, SC; and his brother-in-law Clyde Knight of Goose Creek, SC. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren.
