She was predeceased by: her parents, James Robert Stevenson and Ruby Mae Woods Stevenson; her husband Alvin Leon Underwood; her grandsons, T. J. Underwood and Robert Underwood, Jr.; and her brother Wayne Underwood.

She is survived by: her sons, Robert Underwood of Gresham, SC and Michael Leon Underwood of Florida; and her grandchildren, Jonathan Underwood, Aaron Underwood, Stephen Underwood, Lucas Underwood, Destiny Underwood, Ruby Rittenberry and Michael Underwood, Jr.. She is also survived by numerous great grandchildren.
