He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe McDaniels and Janie McDaniels; his granddaughter Lisa Norris; and his siblings, Billy "Shot" McDaniels, Marion Earl "John Henry" McDaniels (Karen), Terry McDaniels, Eunice Carroll, Betty Swayne and Frances Gaskins.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Fowler McDaniels; his children, Melanie Stroud (Mitchell), Cyril Norris (Terri), Billie Jo Herring (Jason) and Brandy Causey (Shawn); his grandchildren, Joseph Stroud, Adam Stroud, Taylor Norris of Jordyn Norris, J. R, Ashley Tiller, Bennett Causey and Jenna Grace Causey; his great grandchildren, Kelan Stroud, Gia Stroud, Kirsten Causey, Kenley Causey, Naomi Ham, Eli Ham, Palmer Tiller and Grant Tiller; his great great grandchildren, Waylon Small and Wilson Spring; and his sisters, Faye Wright (Lloyd) and Sandra Fipps.
