We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2025, at the age of 76, Allan Thompson Downen (Greenville, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, John Winferd and Frances Myrle Thompson Downen; his wife Maggie; his daughter Susan (David Yarbrough); his grandchildren, William and Cecilia of Edmond, Oklahoma; his stepdaughter Erin Carroll of Greenville; his sister Katherine Downen (James Glover); his nieces, Mary Ezzell (Ronnie) and Erin Stackhouse; his great-nephew Dean; his grandson James Allan; and his former wife Cecilia. He was also cherished by his family, kindness to animals.
