With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Barry Jay Lynn of Greenville, South Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 2, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Barry may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.

He was predeceased by: his mother Estelle Lynn of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; and his sister Cherri Lynn of Coconut Creek, FL.. He is survived by: his wife JoAnn Simonetti Lynn; his stepchildren, Jesse Simonetti (Jennifer) and Theresa Neuer (Josh); and his grandchildren, Nicholas, Emily, Jonathan, Sofia and Justin.

In lieu of flowers, donations to McCall Hospice House of Greenville can be made in his honor.

“Barry and I met at Camp Ramaquois in 1966 and went to camp together from 66-71, causing as much trouble as we could get away with. After camp, I visited Barry in Florida 4-5 times over the next 10-15 years and stayed in touch thereafter. Last saw him around 2005 when i was passing through SC.
