We announce the death of Billy Ray Reid in Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on August 20, 2026, at the age of 86. Billy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harvey Reid and Margaret Victoria Allen Reid; and his siblings, Jeraldine Shealy, Rachel Coggins, Sue Medlin, Gene and Jack Reid.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Reid; his children, Allen Renner (Ginger), Wanda Spearman, Ronald Renner, Joan Sheppard, Kylie Durham and Drake Brezeale; and his grandchildren, Cory Spearman (Elizabeth Thomas), Brenden Durham (Latasha), Brandy Rivers (Roger), Chad, Brandon Abushanab, Joshua Renner, Derek Sheppard (Kayla), Alan (Amy), Eddie Forester and Maggie Islis. He is also survived by 13 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
