As we bid adieu to Carol's earthly form, let us not dwell on the void left in her wake, but rather celebrate the legacy of love and inspiration Carol has bequeathed us. For though she may have departed from our sight, her spirit remains a timeless beacon, guiding loved ones through the labyrinth of life's journey.
She was predeceased by: her mother B. T. Gault; and her son Wells Black Jr.. She is survived by: her husband Archibald Wells Black; her daughter Catherine Black Koysza (David) of Mount Pleasant, SC; her grandchildren, Wells Black III, Cely Black, Caroline Koysza and Sadie Koysza; and her sister Sharon Gault Benston (Gerry).
A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Buncombe Street Methodist Church (200 Buncombe St, Greenville, SC 29601). Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the South Carolina Chapter of the ALS Association, where Carol was active, designated for "Research" and sent to 130 Gardners Circle, PMB 622, Johns Island, SC, 29455.
