He is survived by: his wife Elsie Lyon of Lake City; his children, Marianne Lyon (Rob Howard) of Sylvia, NC, Virginia Lyon of Freehold, NJ, Susan Lyon of Athens, GA and Robert Lyon (Angela) of Dubai; his stepchildren, Donna Matthews Martin (Marty) of Newport News, VA, Renee Matthews Frederick (Bill) of Williston and William Eddie Matthews (Cyndi) of Scranton; his sisters, Helen Barker of Paris, TN and Shirley Netherland of Goochland, VA; his grandchildren, William Hemp (Natalia), Jackie, Samantha Lyon, Lizzy Reese (Will), Myles McIntyre, Jaime Bush, Cory Bush, Lauren F. Byars (Jason), Blake Matthews (Grace), Rev. Jesse Matthews, Patrick Matthews and Nick Matthews; his great grandchildren, Sadie Belle Hemp, Jackson E. Byars, Eli Byars and Austin Byars; his sister-in-law Betty Lyon of Dallas, TX; and his nibling Bear Hunting Buddies.
