We announce the death of David Michael McAvoy (Greenville, South Carolina), who passed away on July 13, 2026, at the age of 73. David will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. David will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. David’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Buddy McAvoy and Evelyn McAvoy; his wife Sandra McAvoy; his children, Amy Lynne McAvoy Buckmaster (Scott) and Ethan David McAvoy; his grandchildren, Sarah and Cole Buckmaster; and his siblings, Rick McAvoy (Linda), Kathy McAvoy Wilder (Terry) and Janet McAvoy Land (Tony). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
