He was predeceased by: his parents, John Hinson and Lula Hinson; his wife Linda Bagwell "Lynn" Hinson; his stepson Greggory O'Dell; and his siblings, Betty Hinson Thompson, Shirley Hinson Hudson, Ralph Hinson and Aaron Hinson.
He is survived by: his daughters, Anna (Charles) and Emily (Jeb); his siblings, Helen Chewing, Josephine "Jo" Hinson Kelley (Maurice) and Benny; his sister-in-law Charlene Burel; his children, Jeffrey and Jeanette; his stepson Lee O'Dell (Allison); and his grandchildren, Kaylee and Tucker O'Dell. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
