He was predeceased by: his parents, John Patterson and Helen Patterson; his brothers, Nick and Gus; his former wife Corky; and his close friend George Cranford.
He is survived by: his wife Fotini (Florence); his daughter Ashley; his son-in-law Chuck Wile of Irmo, SC; his son John; his daughter-in-law Jana Patterson of Elon, NC; his grandsons, Justin Goodman and Gregory Patterson II; his stepgranddaughters, Jennifer Rubin and Amy Wile; his brother Charles Patterson of Greensboro, NC; his sister-in-law Vasiliki Patterson; his nephew John Patterson; his stepdaughter Emily Tsonis; his stepgrandchildren, Fanis, George and Fotinoula; and his stepson Jimmy Prentzas of Greece.
