She was predeceased by: her parents, Jay C. Howard and Gladys Bates Howard; and her husband Hugh Bridwell Batson. She is survived by: her children, Bryan Batson (Kathleen), Dr. Howard Batson (Lisa) and Jaye Young (Ralph); her great grandchildren, Spencer, Charlotte Smithee, Rawlins, Raines and Windsor Tatum; her brother-in-law Tom Batson (Ann); her nieces, Kim Garvilla and Shannon Terry; her nephew Tee Batson; and her cousin Bates Kennedy (Sarah).
