He is survived by: his father Paul Ray; his wife Pellar Sweeney Ray; his children, James Paul Ray (Kwuaneisha), Jason Ray (Paulisha) and Fatika Hewins-Sanders; and his sisters, Cinderella Davis (Henry), Angela Jackson (Henry) and Thelma Fletcher (Walter). He is also survived by four grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Rocky Creek Missionary Baptist Church (239 Rocky Creek Rd, Simpsonville, SC 29680). A reception will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at 119 Sunset Dr, Mauldin, SC 29662.
