He was predeceased by: his parents, James Alton Hancock and Evelyn Chandler Hancock; and his brother Kenneth Alton Hancock. He is survived by: his children, James "Michael" Hancock and Kimberly "Kim" Ballard; his granddaughter Madison Grace Ballard; and his close friend Terry Hill of Sumter.
