He is survived by: his daughter Holly Charles (Michael Segee); his grandchildren, Gordon Charles III, Azriel Charles and Adam Charles; his close friend Melissa "Bama" Watkins; his siblings, Timmy Lee Steele, Dianna Jones, Richard Wayne Steele, Jr. (Regina Kay Stone), Trina Greer (Joe) and Holly McClellion; his brothers-in-law, John McClellion and Patrick Donnald; and his uncles, James "Jim" R. Steele and Robert Joseph Steele. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
