It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet M. Townsend of Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on April 3, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her parents, John Townsend and Dorothy Cotton Townsend; her sister Joyce Bruder; and her brother-in-law Bob Van Daele. She is survived by : her sons, Christopher DeWorken (Suzanne) of Rockaway, NJ and John DeWorken (Sunnie) of Greenville, SC.; her brother-in-law Richard Bruder of High Point, NC; and her siblings, Roger Townsend (Gail) of Armada, MI, Kathy Van Daele of Gaylord, MI and Karen Berger (John) of Armada, MI..

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that any contributions be made in her name to the First Presbyterian Church, Rockaway, NJ.
