It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Lloyd Nelson of Greenville, South Carolina, who passed away on May 2, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the vast expanse of eternity, Jerry Lloyd shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jerry Lloyd farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Collins Bennett and Ellie Whitlock Nelson; and his siblings, Joe Nelson and Millie Nelson Grant. He is survived by: his wife Susan Hawkins Nelson; and his children, Leslie Nelson, Jerry Lloyd Nelson, Jr. (Andrea), Paige Nelson, Mark Nelson (Grace) and Heidi Nelson Bramlett (Matthew). He is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
