It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Jimmy Edward Cox (Greenville, South Carolina), born in Easley, South Carolina, who passed away on September 6, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Jim Frank and Fanny Cox; and his siblings, Sarah Ann Stephenson, Wallace Cox, Jack Cox, David Cox, Johnny Mary Floyd and Frank Cox.
He is survived by: his spouse Jean; his children, Kelly Betsill (Benjamin), Debra Cox Holcombe (Matt) and Jim Cox, II (Charlene); his sisters, Betty Lou Duncan, Floree Pettit and Susie Cox; and his grandchildren, Caleb Cox (Anna), Elise Wiesner (Rob), Casey Cox, Brett Betsill, Bayley Betsill, Tyler Holcombe (Cory), Cameron Keen (Mark John) and Zach Holcombe (Amy). He is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren.
