He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Gerring and Margaret Gerring (Schonhoft). He is survived by: his son John; and his daughter-in-law Betty Gerring, Jr. of Huntersville, NC. He is also survived by four granddaughters; five great grandsons; and five siblings.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the St. Mary's Catholic Church (338 W Washington St, Greenville, SC 29601).
