She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilbur Rutherford and Marjorie Rutherford (Brown). She is survived by: her husband David R. Shuey, Jr.; her children, David Shuey (Sina), Linda Phillips (Keith) and Karen Dixon (Larry); and her grandchildren, Thomas Phillips (Kelly), Michelle Hill (Alex), Kristine LeBlanc (James), Alex Rutherford Dixon (Amy Walker), Morgan Shuey, John Shuey (Elise) and Jenna Shuey. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM at the Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church (207 Mitchell Rd, Greenville, SC 29615). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, October 22nd 2026 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the same location.
