He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Martin and Sylvia Martin; and his sister Edna. He is survived by: his children, Denise Makins (Andre), Tasha Martin-Mansell (Alvin), Christopher Martin, Gwen Campbell and Jay Carter; his sister Claudia Pyles; his nieces, Valerie and Angela; and his nephew Curly.
