He was predeceased by: his parents, Joe Landis and Alma E. Stevens Chastain; his daughter Susan Hamby; and his siblings, Carolyn Chapman, Mary Morris, Larry and Jimmy Chastain.
He is survived by: his spouse Tresea Chastain; his children, Marvin (Angie), Marty (Jodi), Michael, Steven, Keith Chastain (Margaret), Ricky West, Jennifer Waters, Tonya Blackshire, Crystal Lee and Sabrina Baldwin; and his sister Wanda Woody. He is also survived by 29 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:45 PM at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes - Northwest Chapel (6710 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
