He is survived by: his wife Teresa H. Heyward; his children, Mitchell Lee Heyward Jr. of Greenville, Horrnita Heyward of Greenville, Marvius A. Heyward of Greenville, Michelle Heyward of Greenville and Charlene Heyward of Greenville; and his siblings, Abraham Heyward of Blackville, SC, Lucille Jordan of New York, Michelle Heyward and Woodward Heyward of Greenville, SC.. He is also survived by grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
