With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Nancy Lavinia Bishop Hester of Greenville, South Carolina, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy Nancy leaves behind and her impact on the lives of her loved ones. Though Nancy may no longer walk among us, her spirit lives on in the memories held dear by her family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Eugene Edward and Grace Geneva LaFoy Bishop; her husband Daniel Hester (Dan); and her brother Bobby E. Bishop. She is survived by: her sons, David W. Hester (Lisa Edwards Hester) and Adam E. Hester; her granddaughters, Alexandria Hester and Addison Hester; and her sister-in-law B. D. Bishop.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:45 PM at the Reedy River Baptist Church (871 N Hwy 25 Bypass, Greenville, SC 29617). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
