He was predeceased by : his parents, James Jeffrey and Sarah Virginia Guy; and his sister Joy Guy Hamilton. He is survived by : his wife Martha Lewis Guy; his sons, Jerry (Vickie) and Clayton (Tara); his grandchildren, Brandon (Destiny) and Riley (Addie Rae); his great grandchild Paisley; his sisters, Audrey Guy and Fay Hedgepath (Wayne); and his brother-in-law Richard Hamilton.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 3:45 PM at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes (6710 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611). A funeral service was held on Friday, April 19th 2024 at 4:00 PM at the Thomas McAfee Funeral Homes, Northwest Chapel (6710 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611). A burial was held on Saturday, April 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Praters Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (621 Praters Creek Rd, Pickens, SC 29671).
