He was predeceased by: his brother Dr. Eddie Smith (Maryline) of Thomasville; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Bost Smith and Ed Smith. He is survived by: his wife Martha "Mott" Bost Shockley; his granddaughter Lexi; his great grandchild Wilder Ray; his daughter Andrea Nelson (Lloyd Jr.); his grandson Lloyd Nelson III (Meredith); his great grandchild Jack Zobrist; his brothers-in-law, John Bost (Kitty) and Jim Bost (Rosie); and his siblings, Rose Chambers (Bill) of Gray Ga and Scott Smith (Vickie) of Camilla.
