He was predeceased by: his parents, William Francis Guthrie Sr. and Emma Ethel Ledford Guthrie; and his brothers, William Francis Guthrie Jr., Leonard Nathan Guthrie, Grady Bryan Guthrie (Joe), Kelvin Isaiah Guthrie (Mickey), David Samuel Guthrie, James Ellis Ray Guthrie (Jimmy) and Naaman Earle Guthrie.
He is survived by: his wife Joyce Ann Guthrie; his children, Angela Johnson (Allan) of Greenville and Jason Guthrie (Jennifer) of Greenville; and his grandson Tyler Benner.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made as monetary gifts to the widow, Joyce Guthrie.
