He is survived by: his parents, Gale Mewborne Weathers (Johnny) and Robert Hamilton Sandel, Sr. (Jane) of Roanoke, VA; his daughters, Carrie Grace Sandel of Tuscaloosa, AL and Abigale Sandel; his grandson Conahan Wells Sandel of Chapin, SC; his siblings, Dan Sandel (Sara) of Annapolis, MD, James Thomas (Dawn), Mandi Thompson (Pinckney) of Holly Hill, SC and Catherine Akers (Bill) of Glen Allen, VA; and his nieces and nephews, Lila, Emmy, Will, Declan Sandel, Drew, Parker Thomas, Julius, Manning, William Thompson, Elizabeth, Caitlyn and Susannah Akers.
