He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Bennett and Zenobia Hanks Bennett McMakin; his brother Randy Bennett; and his grandson Jonathon Bennett. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Brown Bennett; his sons, Raymond Bennett (Melinda) and Craig Bennett (Bridget); his grandchildren, Hudson Bennett, Emily Matson (Andy), Haley Bennett and Haleigh Taylor; and his great grandchild Laurel Matson.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 1:50 PM at the Reedy River Baptist Church (871 N Hwy 25 Bypass, Greenville, SC 29617). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 11th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
