He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Rosa B. Christie Chappelle; his parents, Alex Chappelle and Ollie Clarkson Chappelle; his sons, Roscoe Chappelle, Jr. (Antonia) of Spartanburg, SC and Derek A. Chappelle (Meriem) of Lusby, MD; and his sister Mildred C. Brown of Rialto, CA. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Long Branch Baptist Church (28 Bolt St, Greenville, SC 29605). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at the Greenville Memorial Gardens (7784 Augusta Rd, Piedmont, SC 29673).
