She was predeceased by: her husband James Tarte; her parents, Major Elrod and Ellen Bryant Elrod; her son Michael Tarte; her grandson Craig Jones; her stepgrandson Travis Julian; her great grandchild Turtle Sanders; and her siblings, Jabis Elrod, Ed Elrod, Carl Evatt, Mildred McGraff and Carrie Lee Jones.
She is survived by: her son Jimmy Tarte; her daughter-in-law Donna Tarte; her daughter Rebecca "Sissy" Julian; her son-in-law Paul Julian; her daughter Sybil Jones; her son-in-law Larry Jones; her grandchildren, Doug Sanders, Jason Tarte, Ellen Tarte and Amanda Tarte; her stepgrandsons, Ryan Jones, Michael and Matthew Julian; her daughter-in-law Myra Tarte; her nephew Steve Elrod; Joey Phillips. She is also survived by great-grandchildren.
