Though Ruth may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Ruth touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ohle D. Toler and Blanche Jones Toler; her son James G. Riggs; and her siblings, Ada Smithwick, Elsie Ireland and David Toler.
She is survived by: her spouse Jesse L. Riggs; her daughter Sylvia Pierce; her son-in-law Russell E. Pierce; and her granddaughter Amanda Pierce.
